Why wasn't Daphne given a major role in this movie?

Why is Vilma character hotter, smarter and cooler?, Isn't those characteristics of Daphne ?

Vilma even gets a love interest in Patrick, why did the writers make the Vilma Character more important than Daphne if Vilma is secondary and a non-important character in the movie, was this movie biased?
