Have any clue where I can buy a copy of this version?
Anyone have a Fpoon I could borrow?
There are, inexplicably, two versions of this movie. In fact, even on Netflix there are two versions. The streaming version is uncut, while the DVD version is heavily edited. Janet McTeer must have had some kind of clause in her contract that stipulated a cut version for the DVD. To my knowledge, the only way to see this uncut is either streaming on Netflix, or on cable.
"...nothing is left of me, each time I see her..." - Catullus
The dvd was not given a rating in the US - hence the need for extensive cuts. I dont know why as the actual film release was given an R rating. Anyone know why?
shareSome years ago, there was an Italian version available to purchase on-line. Sorry I cannot remember the title as it was in Italian! It was listed on a JJ Feild site, but I haven't had any luck recently finding where it was mentioned. Had a different photo on the dvd too, which leads me to believe this is the version you are looking for. If someone out there has any luck, please post the info here! Oh, and it wasn't the obvious -- translating "The Intended" into Italian. The title may have been three words long as I recall. Hope that helps.
shareI watched this on TV many years ago. I'm not sure which channel it came on but I want to say it was showtime? Anyway, I bought the DVD a few years after I saw it on TV and upon watching it I knew it was different than what I had seen on tv. The one part I specifically remember as being different is William and Sarah's "love" scene. Needless to say I was quite disappointed and quite peeved at this. If I had known it was so heavily edited I wouldn't have bought the DVD!!!! Seriously why do this???? If she did have this clause in her contract then I'd like to know the reasoning behind it!
shareI read online that there 150mins version of this film on DVD.
If that's correct, does anyone know where one can find it?
Thanks
