where did the french version go?

...i was in the french version of this film, embarassingly enough, along with half of my friends from my school (we all went to the CIV, an international school in the south of france)...i played seth adkins best friend in the film. however, the french version never got released! even though hairy tale was ridiculous, we were all really crushed that it wasn't even released, and that we never even got to see the scenes we filmed.
...anyway, the point of this comment is to see if anyone knows where any of us can locate anything from the french scenes....if so, let me know please! if anyone could email me that would be great: [email protected]

Jason Flemyng didn't happen to be in this version did he? He's in the credits of the version that was released, but he wasn't in the movie.

to make a long story really short.. Seth grew so much between the time this was shot in France.. (standing in for San Diego).. and the time that reshoots were done.. with san diego standing in for San Diego... that he'd grown almost a foot..and virtually all the stuff with him and the ape were re-shot... along with aobut 70% of the rest of the film..

why the script wasn't "fixed" during the reshoots, I'll never know..
