Remake this in 10 years

Now this is a perfect movie to remake a good setting maybe tweak the story a bit or maybe a lot then go from there. There are some shots in the film that are just beautiful and give the film mood (I.E. the dead horse in the water) I believe in 10 years time a good director, screenwriter, actors, composer should jump on this and make a classic thriller.
My dream team would have to be

Lead Female: Rachel Mcadams

But thats just me!!!
