Gee what could possibly go wrong?

Guy is a documentary film maker. He escapes downtown N.Y. for a place in the country. A little berg that openly hates non-locals. He then "steals" a locals home, by buying it 'lock stock and barrel' from the bank. Turns out local guy was in prison.

Our film maker, hero has a wife, a young son (maybe 8 y/o) and a pre-pubescent daughter, and a once hot wife, who has crested and now is on the wrong side of the aging mountain. We get a glimpse of trouble ahead when the hero spends a little too long leering at an envelope of semi-nude photos of a young girl, only a few years older than his daughter. Its pretty obvious the guy felt guilty, in that when his wife walks in he hides the envelope. Left me with a creeped out feeling.

So what does the hero do? Moved by guilt, he offers the excon a job, fixing up the place. Just what every dad should do. Find a hunky ex-con to work shirtless, amidst the sexually frustrated tinderbox, our hero calls home.

Now just what do you think will happen?

That's the trouble with movie characters...they have no idea they're in a movie! Otherwise they would see everything coming, like the audience, which is why bad movies make us all want to scream at them for being so freaking stupid.
