Am I the only one...

Ok, yes, I admit, this movie was pretty poorly made, but the whole idea was ok, right? Anyway...
Am I the only one that felt kind of sorry for Dale at one point in the movie? Yeah, he's all evil in crap, but when Jessie screamed the thing about Devils throat at him, and it showed him with tears in his eyes I was like....O.O Dale!!! o.O Omg, he's crying.
Anyway...That's pretty much the only reason I felt sorry for him, but you have to admit, the overall plot was fairly good.

I hunt.
Therefore I live.
Harvesting the land...
Taking of the fallen lamb.

o.o It's probably only because I think He's cute....
But it looks like I am the only one...

I felt sorry for him too. I kept hoping that somehow the dad (Christopher Plummer) was faking how frail he was & he was the one who put the snakes in the house, etc. & I kept hoping that he never killed his family or someone else did if they had been killed. But then I thought he was cute too.

Did Jesse actually KNOW what wht it meant? Kinda *beep* up if you ask me.

I had a cool sig, it exceeded 100 char. So instead of something cool, you have me complaining.

reply

I think Jesse knew it had something to do with killing...but that was about it...but still, when Dale's eyes started watering, I was like D: nooo!

I've got a jar of dirt! I've got a jar of dirt! Don't touch my jar of dirt...

When ANYONE's eyes start to water when they're in a fight you can't but be like that, cos you know the other person has hit them really hard personally.

But yeah I was like that too. Especially aftr he killed his dad, the tone/squeakyness in his voice when he continued to call for the nurse.

Your Metallica lyrics are off a bit ;)

I hunt. Therefore I am. Harvest the land. Taking of the falling lamb.

Yeah I felt really sorry for him, especially after we found out he killed his wife and kids, killed a horse, killed his dad, beat up everyone including his girlfriend, filled an innocent family's house with deadly snakes and terrorised Quaid's kids for an hour and a half. Well I just wanted to give him a big fat hug.

What a formulaic, cliched, embarrassing wet turd of a movie. Other than that, I thought it rocked.

Well put Adam. I think it was the OP's first movie.

I LOVE your sarcasm! LOL!

I did not feel ONE BIT sorry for him! He got EXACTLY what he deserved!

And don't forget, Adam1974, that he also murdered his girlfriend's sister (the sheriff)!

And at the end of the movie, the girlfriend (Juliette Lewis) is putting flowers on his grave?!?!? WTF?!?!?

I felt sorry for him at one point. Before I found out he was crazy and evil. All that stuff in the house was HIS. Yes, I know he lost the house and they bought everything in it yada yada..but still, that was his personal stuff. When he was looking at all the pictures that were out everywhere, his memories, Cooper was giving him the evil eye like he was doing something wrong. Of course we find out later that he is indeed psycho but at that point I did feel bad for the guy.

I did feel a little sorry for him as well even though he was pretty psychotic. I understand what you're saying, OP.
