Well, the main character commites random acts of violence like the character from Clockwork. And the scene in 16 where the Frankie and his friends are hanging out in the ditch kind of resembles the way the ditch scene looks in clockwork. Also the close up on his face was a pretty good similarity. Just little obvious things I noticed in the style sometimes. And as for trainspotting, it's all about the struggle of a man with a substance, it opens up with a scene that we won't understand until later like trainspotting. It's a lot like it.
Just because you don't like a movie doesn't mean it can't resemble movies you do like. Don't take it as an insult when a critic says the movies resembles two other movies.
Frankie had a poster for 'A Clockwork Orange' on his wall so it has clearly he, not the filmmakers, that were adopting poses from that film. That is, the character was a fan of the film and tried to act out scenes from it.
One of the reasons Stanley Kubrick wanted his own film withdrawn is because young men like this claimed to be committing violent acts after having watched 'A Clockwork Orange'.
