I am so sick of animated film like this winning the 'so called' best short award at the AA. Seem like an animated film thats is childish and refers to 'real films' are honoured. This is so typical as few seem to be able to see outside of wacky WB cartoons.
The Cathedral and Das Rad are far superior films.

shareConsidering this won an Oscar for best animated short, it really is quite shallow and mediocre.
I don't mean to impose, but I am the Ocean.
I really don't think it deserved the Oscar. I found it to be adequately amusing at points, but many of the jokes failed miserably and it lost its charm at times. It was very mediocre in terms of storytelling quality and humor. Not Academy Award worthy by far.
