I found a error on the VHS box. I bought this tape at a thrift store and the box said 1987 and when I watched the end it said 1978.

shareI don't think the VCR existed in 1978. Until the technology was mass product, that's probably the reason for the 1987 date. CDs were around in the early 1980s, again it wasn't until much later when it became mass produced and affordable for the public, did people have it in their homes. So the release date is correct. The date in the credits is the original air date.
shareThe actually had vcrs in 1978 but they cost like thousands of dollars for someone to buy one, so I guess the video edition came out in the 1980's
