What was that Christmas special and/or video?

I remember renting this when I was younger. It's not Christmas Eve on Sesame Street, but it was a children's video. I remember it vividly, but I think Kermit the Frog was at the beginning and at the end of it. I can't remember if it was him or not, but it was about a Christmas Eve night and all these Christmas toys started to come alive and come out of their boxes. It was old and live action and I hardly remember it.

oh my gosh...i think i remember that video...Did it have to do with a tiger who was a girls favorite toy and he didn't want to be replaced by this like super action hero girl? So he runs around on christmas and tries to sneak into the box so the girl opens him up on christmas instead of the action heroine? Isn't it like 'the secret life of toys'? I still think my parents have it on tape from all those years ago. When ever i can make it back to see them i'll double check the title.

My brother still has this video. It's called The Christmas Toy.

"These are not crow's feet... they're laugh lines."...
"Honey, nothing's that funny."

"The Christmas Toy" was released this year on DVD! Unfortunately, Kermit the frog was edited out. Its still a wonderful Christmas special.. my very favorite!

Kermit was edited out of Emmett Otter's Jugband Christmas as well. You may like The Tale of the Bunny Picnic, The Frog Prince, or the Musician's of Bremen. They are all out of print, but you can watch them on YouTube. They are also by the Muppets, but the only main stay Muppets that are featured are Kermit & Bean Bunny.
