This show is definately slow at getting well..."good". Much like Love Hina, the pacing is at a snail's pace for the first third of the series, then it picks up and gets very good. The ending is very funny and Tenchi-esque.
What did everyone else think of it? The same or different?
I thought the series was funny as hell from start to finish. Tenchi Muyo
was the Anime that got me started back in 98, this one might have been
my favorite next to Tenchi Universe.

I've never made it passed the boring part . I might try again though someday because I love the other Tenchi stuff.
shareIt actually gets pretty interesting. I never cared much for harem anime. I could never get into the original Tenchi. I didn't get it and the characters weren't even attractive to me, which was odd because apperantly the show is designed to be erotic to some degree. As a result I never gave any other Tenchi spin offs a chance.
GXP, to me is great. the whole space police thing helped alot. This show has a good mix of Sci-Fi and fantasy. It's almost like Star Trek's Federation meets Star Wars The Force. I really enjoyed some of the concepts in regards to technology and on top of it the characters are attractive.
I love the castle made out of a ginormous tree. The idea of a alien cat that doubles as a ships computer and the power source was really interesting. Doors that you phase through instead of opening and closing was revolutionary concept. And the idea that Seina's bad luck is some form of spiritual power and not just some goofy reoccuring joke was interesting too.
This show really has style.
