Wow

I rented this out two nights ago and it's stayed with me. The scene with the men in the masks trying to see what was going on was amazing.

I'm definitely buying this pay day...

i'm thinking of buying it, but it looks really pornographic. is it really noticable or in a large quantity? or is it kind of subtle?

It's not that pornographic. Most things occur off screen. I rented my copy from Choices so maybe rent it first and then buy it.

Pornographic absolutely not. Artful erotisism yes.
There is a very voyeuristic feel to the movie. However it is incredibly tasteful and even distant like one would exspect in real voyeurism. The documentary style combined with the 'black and white' way of shooting makes it look like a painting, a 'still life' like they mention in the movie.

I found it very tasteful. Even the surreal second half of the movie was like watching a painting.

Not pornorgraphic at all. There's a huge difference between pornography and sensuality - and this film certainly falls in the latter category. Just because a movie contains nudity and explores sexuality does not automatically mean that it is in any way pornographic in nature.

I highly recommend the movie - I really enjoyed it myself.

reply

If by pornagraphic you mean sexual, yes it makes up the whole movie, and no the sex isnt subtle. The themes, etc. are subtle but to says its not at all pornographic might give the wrong idea.

reply

There isn't exactly real intercourse shown, just *(spoilers)* a few instances of masturbation...but no, nothing overtly sexual and/or pornographic.

I'm not conceited, I'm just better than everybody else!
