can anyone explain this joke? he says something about how the french don't have a baseball team because if they did, they would only have left field and no one would be safe. i am a huge fan of this particular stand up show, but i have never understood that joke. help?

Part of the joke was that baseball is almost a strictly American sport.

He was right though. France doesnt have baseball. And if they do, its small teams made of amateur players.
