one of the bests works of penelope cruz
the movie is boring, but penelope cruz is impactant in this movie, her paper of crazy woman is amazing ¡¡¡
in some movies fortunately we can see her huge talent.

I agree, she was very very good in this.. She gave everything and was willing to all the way. I think in this film she has had to look the ugliest/play the ugliest character I've ever seen and I admire the fact that she went all the way.

An amazing/stunning performance by our "Madonna of Madrid". Reading sub-titles takes our eyes away from the actors, and so I rewound - oh for DVD technology - quite a few times during crucial scenes to study Cruz's face. The vulnerability she brings to the character is breath taking. Definitely one of her best performances, and there are quite a few contenders.

She is without a doubt one of best (and most versatile) actresses around at the moment

Can't agree that the film was boring. A most interesting story I thought. And good performances (and casting) by the other actors too.

After one viewing: 8/10
