RIGGING RATINGS!

rigging ratings for no other reasons than the one that will stay out of THIS publics eye is quite lame

I voted this film a 1, because this film is truly terrible. I just two days ago watched the original Mimic which is a totally different kettle of fish to this. For a start 85 minute films (anything shorter than Passenger 57) have this great tendency to be dodgy. Secondly, the director's trickery was lacking, circular shots to try and imitate the claustrophobic point of view was reasonable but not too impressive, the end was uncontemplated, thirdly, by the second time the director had used the slow zoom into the camera viwefinder followed by what the camera sees, I was pretty sick of his technique. The lead character was just ill - not particularly deep, he's ill, he's in a room, he has an underdeveloped personality, he gasps a lot. The only reason I watched this film was on the strength of your comment of "RIGGING RATINGS" and I personally in retrospect would not wish a repeat viewing on my worst enemies.

I simply don't understand this rating, I gave it an 8, while I rated the first one 6 and the second one 3. The first two are ordinary 13-in-a-dozen horror flicks while the third one actually attempts to give a new spin on the whole thing, and it turned out quite good (although the ending could have been better).

People are pretty stupid, I have ADHD and I still can't believe this only has a rating of a 4.0 when the second one which sucked balls also has a 4.0. At least this movie made an attempt to make the sequel different and marginally better than the first 2. Deserves about a 6.2 or something instead of a 4.0.

I agree devils, a 6.2 is where this should be. I doubt if most of the 'voters' even saw this. I was very plesantly surprised when I saw it. Not great, but a pretty dam nice surprise.

The only reason I watched this movie after HATING the first two is to see Lance Henriksen, but I was also pleasantly surprised as it is far superior.
Now I watch it every time it comes on...to see Lance Henriksen, who rocks in this movie, but also because it's a pretty cool little movie.

This ripped off Rear Window and did it poorly. Not as bad as Mimic 2 but still lame. It got good when the "Garbage Man" showed up and mentioned that "it's already over, theres hundreds of those things underground" but then did nothing with it.
