Why r?

My son would like to see this why is it rated r?

reply

Why do you ask when it says language and sexual situations?

reply

well i didnt get it why it was r rated in the US. here in europe it was not. there is none sexual situations, and the language? its just normal....

reply

"R" in the US doesn't mean that kids can't see it at all. It just means that kids under 17 have to see it with an adult. In most other countries, an "R" rating is like an NC-17 rating in the US, meaning that no kids under a certain age (in the case of the US, 17) are admitted at all. There is quite a bit of swearing in the movie, so I can understand the rating. It is rated 14A in Canada, meaning that anyone under 14 has to be with a parent if they were to see it in the theatres (now that we have an 18A rating, there really aren't too many movies rated R)

reply

because of the gay people. you know how scary gay people are to many americans. just look at the whole bush being reelected fiasco.

It's certainly because of the gay. I think I want to move to Canada haha. Even "The Simpsons" will have a warning before a show on such episodes that are about homosexuality lol. This damn backwards country.

reply

actually Canada law allow homosexual marriage. much more open than a lot of country, eh?

reply

To Pedro:

Most people in Canada did NOT want that law! It was rammed down our thoats by special interest groups and who cried discrimination. Politicians who didn't have the guts to tell them they are nuts passed the law. It's got the be one of the stupidest laws in the whole world! It ridicules and makes a mockery of decent people's marriages! Marriage between the same sex is an IMPOSSIBLE thing! Because of this stupid law I will NEVER EVER vote for the Liberals EVER again!!!!

reply

Are you serious. I wanted that law. The only ridiculesness I saw was the big fuss. It should not make any difference. Two people who want to get married are two people who want to get married.

reply

You found the fuss ridiculous? Is it not more ridiculous to go against natural and human laws?

Fact: The primary and instinctual reason to have sex is for procration.
Fact: Marriage was instituted so a man and a woman can have sex in a morally correct state and to promote procreation.
Fact: Two people of the same sex cannot procreate and cannot have sex in a morally correct state.
Fact: In general today's society has lost touch of the moral necessities of marriage.
Obvious conclusion: It is not logical or morally correct for people of the same sex to marry.

It's plain and simple logic that has existed since the quasi begining of humanity.

reply

stupido.

dfortier you are a complete retard. Why don't you go back to the age when women were chained to the kitchen stove and cooked for the men!

you're talking about str8s as decent people? ever heard or gay serial killers? gay wars?
shut up and go watch your president make a mockery of your country.

As for marriage, it was probably created by str8 people so you can pretend to sit quietly at home thinking about husband not having sex with anyone else.
It is man's nature to go and spread his seed and procreate. The fact that marriage exist is just some excuse. That's the bottom of the story.
Fact is you silly religious hypocrits want to rewrite the human history they way it suits you. Thankfully not everyone thinks like you.

reply

Dear dfortier5,
FACT: Those you're stated are not facts, it's rubbish
FACT: You are not a normal and moral person,
you are just stupid religious fundamentalist.

Go, go, go back to XV century!

reply

I wanted that law too, thank God most Canadians aren't as ignorant as you.

reply

I really pisses me off when people use the whole "gay marriage is a slight against straight 'DECENT' marriage". If allowing gay peole to get married in some way devalues your own marriage, then you should really reevaluate how good your marriage really is. I don't see how spewing off that ridiculous homophobic crap is any different then making racist comments(although that poster is probably against mixed race marriage as well.... idiot). Open your eyes to the times... I can understand that 50 years ago people were homophobic because very little was known about homosexuality. But to be so ignorant these days you have to be an idiot. If you really think you have a reason to hate gay peole, ask yourself these questions:

Was the highschool teacher that failed you gay? How about the banker that wouldn't give you a loan? The kids that teased you in school? Name one gay person you know that has done something bad to you... maybe you can name one, but I bet you can name a hell of a lot more straight people that you have a legitamite reason to hate.

reply

Why is it impossible? That's only when it come to "marriage" in a church. But a civil union there should be no problem with as its simply a legal union. Heterosexual marriages make a bigger mockery of marriage as it is, getting divorced and being unfaithful.
