Nice take on Femme Fatale and Final Boy

Great artsy aesthetic found here. This film has a nice way of getting rid of a lot of clichés and switching gender roles. Ice blue-eyed Erin is the cold culprit. You know who she is because you’re supposed to. That is, unless you were really
stunned to find out who the male culprits were in other films in this genre. What’s nice is that they are playing on a boogey woman. Funny, endearing Peter is the last remaining boy, not girl. A wise, mature female professor saves the day. Strong undercurrents of feminism and its Giallo-ish style elevates this low budget indie. “See how easy it is to creep when playing this game of hide and seek.” Love the playful use of metaphors that are woven into the script. If I didn’t see in the credits this was shot in New England, I would have guessed it was somewhere in eastern Canada.
