Both 2001 Space Odyssey and In The Mood For Love are in my top 20 and i love Dolls. Slow they all are, but boring?

The Rennaissance years were in the 19th century? What a dreadful list.

I loved "Dolls" and "The age of innocence", and "2001: a space odissey", well, it's a masterpiece. But I agree with you on the n°1:"The brithis patient" was deadly boring!

PS May I make a suggestion? What about "The horse Whisperer"?

What's a brithis patient?

Blogspot haha. The list might as well have been written by some idiot on a piece of toilet paper while taking a dump.

The difference is the toilet paper doesn't get desperately spammed on message boards.

I must love boring films then.

I agree that Dolls, Mullholland Drive and Space Odyssey are very very slow. But they are 3 of the best films I've ever seen.

I don't pretend to like them to make out that I think on some sort of higher level than most people. They are just awesome films for a certain type of taste. I can easily see why people would find them boring.

But as always with art: if you can get some goodness out of a work it is always a winning situation. No matter how crap something might appear to be, if you can get enjoyment out of it then that's a good thing.

I didn't bother to check the link, considering "mentwras" is spamming all the other imdb boards with the same post. Probably just trying to drive traffic to his silly blog.

But from what the list sounds like (Dolls, Mulholland, 2001), it should probably be renamed "Top 5 Movies I Couldn't Understand Because I Have the Attention Span of a Gnat, So I Think I'll Hate Them Instead"

"metrwras", are you ROGER EBERT in disguise? hahaha

reply

Watching a beautiful landscape could be boring to some people too. I kept watching the clock sitting through "Transformers", so, it depends on the people.

I really liked 'In the mood for love', '2001' and 'Dolls' I didn't find them slow moving or boring. In fact I found Transformers and Sherlock Homles incredibly boring and fell asleep during both in the cinema (My girlfriend dragged me along).
I wonder how the OP would handle some of my favorite movies like 'Satantango', 'The mirror', 'Stalker' or Masaki Kobayashi's 8hr+ masterpiece 'The Human Condition'

More like a manifest of how dull the OP is. Only douchebags find great films boring.
