Gacy Study

I studied John Wayne Gacy for a semester in my psychology class in college. I think Gacy was probably one of the most terrifying serial killers because he was so high profile in his community. A lot of serial killers are reclusive and do not usually hold large block parties and shake hands with the First Lady of the United States! Hell, he was even a committee member of the Democratic party! I think how Gacy was able to appear "normal" made him the deadliest of all serial killers because he was able to blend in so easily. Even with the dead bodies under his own house, Gacy was able to elude the police for a few years, 1976-1978, though Gacy claimed he first killed in 1972. I think Gacy's mindset is best defined by his own last words: "You can kiss my ass!"
