themselves. You know, the ones that were staking out the house. One of them looked like a druggie and acted weird too. For example he rings the doorbell and says " We'd like to take a look inside your house if you don't mind" plus the fact that the two looked weird sitting in lawn chairs on Gacy's driveway with the feet propped on the garbage can. But overall, I liked the movie.
Those cops were undercover, no doubt. This movie could've been so much better--there are so many creepy details in Gacy's life that were simply left out. It's like they said, "Hmmm, he was a clown--let's spin on that angle and make the clown part really creepy!--Yeahhh!" When, in reality, that was just something Gacy did for public relations. He wore sharp, bold colors on his face, which is very Un-clown-like. His contacts begged him not to, because sharp lines on a clown scare children. Also: the final victim that got Gacy caught was something out of "Forensic Files," and could've made the movie much more suspenseful. Alfred Hitchcock wouldn't have enjoyed this flick. For example, when that guy bought that abandoned car from Gacy, and threw the hat out the window, the director could've had the little neighbor boy find it, or maybe one of the surveilance cops could've worn it. Plus: Mark Holton should've smiled a little more. Gacy was a charmer--even though creepy. Maybe someday this tale will be re-told, properly, by another director.
yeah they were cops...the first one into the crawlspace was one of the guys waiting in the car earlier..wouldn't let a civilian enter the crawlspace first..very *beep* film
Collecting video is like marijuana. Laser discs, definitely cocaine. Film prints...heroin!
