This movie had potential until they kept flashing and panning the clown portraits on Gacy's wall OVER and OVER! Between these filler shots and the cuts to the bugs under the house in various shots crawling over hands, ground, right to left, left to right. This director must love filler. There is certainly enough going on in this serial killer's life that we don't need this much filler!!
It ruined the movie.
I know, right?? About the 3rd time they were showing all the pictures I was ready to stop watching. THANK YOU MOVIE, WE'VE SEEN THEM ALL, YOU CAN MOVE ON NOW.
shareGacy was the artist. He painted tons of clown pictures in real life. Many people believe the paintings contain secret symbolism and codes indicating more victims than are currently known (for instance, the number of trees that are in the background, things like that).
shareHe always showed his clown self-portraits in a forest setting. With trees in the background. He was blatantly and symbolically showing himself a hunter/predator. IMHO.
