stupid Transformers

OK....I'm a big G1 fan. Just plucked up the courage to watch Armada. I can handle the redesigns...I could even excuse the presence of the dumb kids...

But why have they made the Autobots and Decepticons into complete retards?

It would make sense and be much better if they spoke with the type of gravitas heard in the old series, to raise them above the level of the kids and provide a nice contrast....but everyone speaks and acts like an eighth-grader. Maybe that's the mental age of the English writers. Wonder if it's any better in Japanese. Doubt it. And what's with all the long pauses?

Seen the 1st 3 episodes. Does it get any better? I'm not sure if I can be bothered to sit through any more... and then there's Energon. Any good?

Just watched the next few episodes, and it does actually improve considerably. Just a shame that it didn't get off to a good start!

Ah well. I hope it keeps getting better!

Yes, I've seen many episodes of ENERGON and some are rather good. Sometimes these shows use ideas that sometimes I only imagined while watching the original series.

The subtitle Japanese episodes are better, the show does not get better despite what some people might say, it continues to degrade into unintellegent crap, and the same goes for Energon.

Remember the days of Beast Wars, where episodes where actually written by talented writers and the CGI was made to fit around the voice acting so the characters didn't talk at 90mph and then took really long pauses before speaking again.

Energon must be the worst Transformers series I've ever watched, ugh the voice acting is so bad and the horrible CGI they used for the Transformers blended in with 3d cel animation for the human characters and backgrounds...

It just made the series look bad, how anyone with even alittle ammount of intellegence can call these shows "watchable" go back and watch Beast Wars and then tell me Armada and Energon are any good.

Heck, even watch Beast Machine, because even as bad as it was, atleast the voice acting, CGI and story was good for the most part.

Beast Wars as a story was a masterpiece. You were able to get to know each character more personally and I think it added to the effect of the show. It was easier to identify with the story and the characters that way. I don't understand why any of the other series have really taken that step to familiarize the viewers with each character more.
