I'm not sure what to think.

Hmm. The show got off to a slow start I thought. After the Scavenger episode, the show got much much better. The battles got more violent and the storylines got deeper. By the end of Season One, Part 1, i was definitely excited to see more when the second half is released. One thing they could have gotten rid of which REALLY got on my nerves is how the characters always say the obvious things. If I see Megatron holding the Star Saber for a good five minutes, i don't wanna suddenly hear Hot Shot say "The Star Saber!" It ruins the moment in my opinion.

Other than that, it wasn't that bad.

Yes, some lines are better left unsaid.

I took a giant leap of faith in purchasing Transformers: Armada, because I had only really seen clips of one episode, but I thought it couldn't be as bad as everyone claimed it was. I bought the first part on DVD after doing my second run through of the original G1 series and fell in love with this series. One thing I enjoy is that they have one straight-through storyline. One thing about G1 I didn't like was how the series didn't seem to flow. Just about every episode, Starscream would betray Megatron or do something like that, and then the next episode, he was within the ranks of the Decepticons again. Another is the lack of characterization. Octane was in like two episodes, and then he was gone. Characters would just show up and didn't really have a personality, but with Armada, I know them all and I can feel for them more. Also, just knowing Unicron makes an appearance makes me want the second half of the series right now. I think that maybe G1 should have either stopped after the movie(The highest point in Transformers history, I believe), or they should have done like what happened with the first two seasons, and give you an opportunity to know the characters. Not just introduce them and then drop them the next episode. I haven't seen Energon yet, but I do catch Cybertron on Cartoon Network when I'm actually up that early. I like that series, too! I think they get judged unfairly because people loved G1 so much, but I think that G1 had more low points than Armada did. I'm also looking forward to seeing Animated when it comes out. BRING IT ON!

I am 11 episodes in and it's still terrible. You say it gets better, so I'll keep with it.

It only gets good at the very end. Even then, it's not "great", more like average with a handful of genuinely decent moments sprinkled throughout.

But yeah, getting through the first 20-30 eps is pain...
