Season 3 The Actor putting Terrorism into Perspective

Great episode - reminded me so much of Alec Baldwin (and a few more Hollywood idiots) after 911 who pissed and moaned about "profiling" Muslims and the humane treatment of known terrorists, etc. The team took down a cell that had plans in play (planes in the air, rolling bombs in tanker trucks and a ship ready to plow into Boston Harbor) and the "actor" riding along with the team, Adam Kinsey, fought them at every turn for making assumptions (even though based on known patterns and review of online chatter) about the terrorists - but once he saw the ring leader state that he HOPED the take down would include innocent women and children - his tune changed to "I've never seen such evil" -- therein lies the rub we face as a nation - everyone should watch that episode ...

The ONLY time we hear about a terrorist act is when it reaches fruition - we don't hear about the dozens averted each month, we don't look into the eyes of evil and listen to them talk about killing us with such joy, it's only news worthy if blood is shed and it's the FBI's job to see to it that blood is not shed on American soil. I understand that for reasons of national security they CANNOT tell us each time they stop a terrorist act less they give away their tactics, Americans need to somehow come to grips with the fact that it will only take ONE for a plane to get through or a tanker truck to plow into a stadium filled with people - those guys have to get it right 100% of the time, there is no room for error. We need to be patient and let them do their jobs and if it comes with a small price of a few people being "uncomfortable" with the way it's handled - so be it.

Really GREAT episode - will definitely put things in perspective for you.
