Why the hell was it shot in New Zealand?

Just curious, I live in NZ and so wished I could of been to the set. But oh well. I mean, why shoot here when in American there are big perfect malls and studios and sh!t. Actually I haven't seen this movie so I don't know what the setting is or anything. I thought it could be because the director was a Kiwi, no he isn't, he directed eps. of EVEN STEVENS maybe that's why he got that dude from e.s. to be main character or sumthin'. Well, orignially question was why it was shot here, anyone please to inform me or maybe I'm the only who cares right?.......................................................

the reason disney channel movies are starting to be filmed in NZ is because everything is cheaper, set, actors (all the have to do is fake an american accent and BAMMO their "American"), and not to mention its one of the most beautiful places in the world to film. also the towns look exactly like the ones in the US. so basically disney is starting to become cheap and trying to pull one over on its audiences. (not saying that NZ is a cheap or bad place or anything like that).

also Eddies million dollar cook off was filmed there. but, i dont know if that full court miricle or whatever its called was filmed there or not.

Full Court Miracle was filmed in Canada.

Hey i'm a new zealander and had no idea it was shot in NZ. Why do people think NZ is beautiful? it's just a normal country whose prime minister is a tranz...

hey im a new zealander as well, it was just shot around auckland. they wanted to film it here coz it didnt look like huge cities and stuff. they jst wanted a small town. and helen clark if DEFINITLY a tranz.
