Im probaly a little older than other people posting things on this board, so no one may know or care about this answer to this question, but--
I have a hard time beleving that a married couple having one less child could take the family into a diffent social class...It seems like they were lower middle calss with Stevie, and all of sudden without him they had a Viper?????Doenst make sense to me.

They were probably just middle-class with 2 kids - and it looked like they were upper-middle without. There's no telling how long they had the car; they would've gone 10 years without having the kid they would've otherwise so they could've saved. I guess the biggest difference I saw was they had room for all that exercise equipment, so the kid they had left got into sports...probably they could save/spend more in the long term since he'd get scholarships through sports and there was one less kid to provide for too...
Just a thought.

If you knew how much a kid is from birth through 21 years of age, you would see the difference it would make. Each child is worth around a few hundred thousands until they start their own family.
