Is the recent airing and DVD version of this movie cut?

When I saw this movie in 2002, I thought it was a good movie, although the world in which Kermit the Frog was never born is just plain disturbing, especially the scene with the nightclub.

Recently in 2003, when NBC re-aired It's a Very Merry Muppet Christmas Movie, I noticed something. Is it just me, or were some things cut from it this time? For instance, when Kermit and the angel visit the nightclub, and Sam the Eagle walks up to them, Sam no longer has a pacifier in his mouth. Honestly, something like that should have never been added in a family movie in the first place, but nonetheless, does anyone know specifically why NBC changed the version for its second airing? Was it pressure from some group?
