Actually liking this movie is...

A sign of a lack of intelligence.

Thank you

Wrong.
It's a sign of a different opinion.
Your post is a sign of narrow-minded idiocy.

Well, at least you didn't write "this" with an up arrow.

reply

Yeah, a wrong opinion. Just curious, are you still in middle school?

reply

Your opinion is your own. Your post is pure empty-headed narrow-minded superiority-complex stupidity.
And no, I'm not in middle school, nor would that make much of a difference in this case. People can like whatever the hell they want.

No, I just think it shows a lack of intelligence to enjoy the dueling motorcycles and paper thin plot. Vroom Vroom!

reply

There is no 'lack of intelligence' here. Just a differing perspective.

You are right. The reason this movie is not very popular is because it's too subtle and it takes real intelligence to realise it's a spoof movie like Airplane! and Naked Gun.

This movie is a guilty pleasure of mine - I know the script is pretty trashy, the plot is, well, stupid, and some moments are pretty cringe inducing...But it has a "charm" of its own. The cheese feels genuine most of the time, and the more ridiculous parts are so outrageous its hard not to get some enjoyment at seeing them. I think the director was really trying to make a satire of highly packaged and saturated blockbusters at the time, and I think he succeeded, for the most part.

reply

The director was definitely trying to make a satire about all that "action-packed Fast and Furious stuff". And hell, the last time I had watched this movie was in 2006 and today I watched it again and I had a blast.

reply

I'd assumed it was made by exactly the same people , using the exact same fx and processing desk.
just swap cars for bikes , and make the music a bit less Ja rule and a bit more nu metal
