Torque is a complete blast, its absurd, unrealistic and clearly intentionally tongue in cheek. I think its quite obvious that this movie was meant to be humorous and absurd and not a serious auto-action movie and in my opinion, it was *beep* successful.
This movie made me laugh so much at the absurdity and the action sequences, editing and direction were pretty damned awesome.
The director said he was trying to make a cult movie.
He even went as far as telling slashfilm he despises films like the Fast and the Furious.
Because we know TMNT III: Turtles in Time is about McCarthyism

Yeah- I love this movie! Is it over the top, totally and completely unrealistic...SURE but who cares!? It's a great thrill ride that isn't bound by the constraints of reality. It's a great action flick. Too bad so few see it that way.
