Good Shark Movie!

That's my opinion :D

yeah it was pretty good, but the shark scenes at the beginning and at the end were the only two that you really saw the shark!!

I was surpised by the low rating. A friend rented it a while ago. We watched it late at night, I remember it being pretty good, actually, but a very dark movie with a good ending. Anyone else think so?

What the fu-*POP*

One of the odd features of the movie was the almost constant music soundtrack - it's like they wanted tension in EVERY possible scene and therefore put "tense" music throughout the film.

reply

Yeah good movie with a good ending could have done with more shark action though.

lol I loved this movie... especially since my aunt(Heather Marie, aka: Sky Marsdon, Aka: Auntie Heather :) was Cheryl! Well... she's not my aunt.. but my moms best friend that we call my aunt

screw that. this was one of the worst shark movies ever. though it does have its moments, its a rancid movie. the shark doesnt even make an entrance untill half way through the movie after the first scene. this movie shouldnt have even been made!!!!

Come on the effects were not that bad. Sure darkness helps, but for a 3 million movie made 5 years ago, you can't complain.

The acting does have some problems, most notably from that French or German sidekick who has problems delivering his lines.
For the most part it's still OK. Grand Bush is great as always.

For me there were two problems:
Some of the scenes were shot in places that looked distinctively Eastern European in a "post communist" way.
I'm thinking mostly of the campus scenes. That college looks decayed.

But the film's biggest problem is certainly the dry for wet diving scenes.
Those are horrendous.
They tried to throw white particles into the air to make it look like murky waters.
It only works in very few shots.
In some other shots you can see the particles flying around at high speed as if a fan was blowing.
You can also see workers repairing some pipes, and the welding sparkles don't look like underwater work at all.
They could have at least cut the most revealing of those shots during editing.

That's too bad because it's a really cool b-movie otherwise.

Actually it was a 1 million budget. The entire FX budget was the cost of one FX shot in an ILM movie.

I'd hate to see what you people consider a bad movie if you thought this was good.
