Dougray Scott as lead? GOD HELP US

Jeeeez, what a wooden actor

reply

Did you see the movie????

reply

Well, I admit I've only seen Dougray Scott in one thing so far, but that was an episode of Highlander ("Through a Glass Darkly" was the name of the ep, if I remember correctly), and he did quite well.

I'm planning on renting Enigma, though I'd rather see the old '80s film (of which this more recent one may or may not be a remake; I'm not sure) by the same title, with the same general plot, but with Sam Neill and Martin Sheen.

I'm DYING to find this movie, however, since it features both Dougray Scott AND Jürgen Prochnow, who is just about the best actor ever. Since Blockbuster's website doesn't even list it yet, though, I guess it isn't out on video/DVD yet.

I have to watch The Poet before saying any comment about this post, but I for one know that Dougray is quite a GREAT actor! I've seen around six of his movies -unfortunately not even one on big screen- but I have them in videos or DVDs and I have the wonderful chance to admire and enjoy his excellent acting as much as I'm able to!
So GOD BLESS DOUGRAY and his Arts because he makes powerful performances!
And yes, I'm a HUGE Dougray Scott's Fan! I had the pleasure to descover him four years ago and he became to my most favourite actor.

I have found this man to be impressively passionate about his art and wonderfully compassionate toward people. He is refreshingly real (a rare trait in actors) and I appreciate him sharing his talent with us.
How is your acting ability?

reply

I absolutely agree with you, and I'd add something else: he's really simple as a person and at the same time, you can feel quite a magnetism from him (just those eyes)!
I wish I were in Europe to get his movies easier...*sigh*

reply

There is absolutely nothing wrong with Dougrays acting.
He´s very, very talented.

reply

I think that he was the weakest link in the movie unlike his female co star who was great.
