a purposely underplayed devastatingly emotional moment

It was emotionally wrenching to experience the very underplayed rooftop scene towards the end of the film when Elsa releases the butterfly and is told by Julien that it will fly to a destined appointment. As a parent I know I would be haunted by the death of a son or daughter for my lifetime. I can't imagine a satisfying closure or a resolution to the grief while alive - only brief periods of distraction.
