Charming and heartbreaking!

this was a wonderful film! sometimes these dramas intended for family viewing lay on the "drama" aspect a bit too thick for kids, but this one was well done... and the actress playing Elsa is simply enchanting, you want to look at her in every frame. I'm betting she grows up to be an Isabelle Huppert...

I agree 100%. This was a fantastic film. I loved every second of it, and was truly impressed with Claire's acting skills. I don't watch foreign films too often, but I picked this up at the library and really enjoyed it.

I just watched this tonight from Netflix, and was enchanted by it! I don't watch many foreign films, but this one was lighthearted.

The actress who portrayed Elsa acted beautifully, spot-on. You forgot she was acting, which is a rare trait for young actors.
That's one thing I like about a lot of the foreign films that I see: the stories are thought out and the actions are not spoon-fed to us, like in most American films.
The cinematography was simply perfection.

I agree!

I saw this just last evening, and found it to be totally captivating!!

The actors, the scenery, the musical score, were all without a flaw.
