A 45+ Film

Target audience is rarely that old like in this film. Even the love interest of the hero passed the 50 years already. Was the Old West called like that because people were all old?

Remember that all of us baby boomers are past 45. We kind of like movies that are targeted for our age group. Remember that this movie was about the dying out of the cowboy era. Many of us who have reached the age where we are a little past the time where we can start over can connect with the plot of this movie. How many 50+ year olds do you know who have lost their jobs and feel too old to start over? This is and was a real problem.

The first answer on this page is typical of younger users who have little thoughtfulness and can't spell worth a cuss either. Just wait 'til you turn 40 and all will be revealed!

haha well hey, I watched this when I was 30, and I LOVED it, and still do. Just goes to show you that a good movie and a good cast are what matter.

I'd hate to think I could only be interested in movies in which the characters were all within my own age group.

I recall movies like COCOON and DRIVING MISS DAISY being pretty popular with all ages.
