The two so called indian 'actors' should just stick to overly melodramatic superficial hindi movies. Just look at the two--Salman Kahn is sleepwalking in this film and Aishwaraya is simply horrendous. Only in bollywood these kind of people would be called 'actors'. Please keep these 'actors' away from hollywood, and spend a budget with good hollywood actors and actresses instead of being cheap and resorting to below-par bolllywood 'actors'.

I agree that Bollywood is full of mostly bad actors and actresses, but so is hollywood.The only clear difference is that hollywood has great actors/actress and even better directors, which bollywood doesn't have just yet.I think when bollywood starts making movies with real emotions and character development, they will become more on par with the rest of the world.

I haven't seen "Black", but from what I've read it's nothing more then a Hellen Keller ripoff.And what does Paris Hilton and Lindsay Lohan have to do with the overall hollywood movie industry.They are not big hollywood actresses,they are tabloid celebrities that get movie deals, nothing more.Also, what does an actor or actress personal life have to do with the quality of there works? Black was not up for an Oscar. Paheli was the submission from India that year and did not get the nomination. Lagaan did not win an oscar even though it was nominated.No Man's Land from Bosnia won that year. Deepa Mehta's Water was noiminated but it was the official submission from CANADA. I just wanted to straighten the facts. Also, people in Bollywood also are guilty of drug use and sex scandals, they are just not dumb enough to flaunt it out in the open like Paris Hilton and Lindsay Lohan. Bollywood makes more movies than Hollywood as well, so volume wise they are on top. Quantity does not equal quality. For the thousands of films they release each year, maybe 3 or 4 are worthy to be called quality films.
sharei agree with you at a certain level, the bollywood industry is way below par compared to hollywood standards. But you have to look at the people watching these movies, the majority of indians love bollywood movies. they aren't accustomed to to over-the-top hollywood movies and therefore find nothing wrong with the bollywood movies. the directors and producers know that no matter what, people will see their movie, so why waste time and money making it oscar worthy, there only after the money. they keep their budgets to the minimum required for the films to be considered movies
