Realistic + Admirable

I didn't understand the movie up until the last part, so I went back and saw it and holy cow, this was a hidden diamond. loved it.

I liked a lot of the little touches. Like having the labor "trouble makers" be hired hands who have nothing to do with the workers. The rock throwers were just thugs with their faces covered hired to make the regular people look bad and turn public opinion against the unions.

The police were pretty thuggish too. They looked like they were watching for any excuse to start swinging their clubs and bust heads. It didn't matter which side of the fence the victims were on.

No two persons ever watch the same movie.

That is also a very common law enforcement technique used all around the world to turn peaceful protests into violent ones, and then let the police take over and squash the protest. "Agent provocateurs" have been used countless times. Its a rotten trick. So, if you are at a peaceful protest, and someone starts violence, chances are that person is undercover law enforcement or paid by law enforcement.

Yes, I've been at protests and seen those agents in action. Whenever some of the younger kids look like they will join in, there's always some older folks in the crowd to calm them down and encourage them to be cool.

Whenever a protest turns ugly, I know exactly who's to blame. I don't care what the news or mainstream media has to say.
