Both psycho

If I am interpreting the screen writer/director correctly, they wanted to show that the new husband was demented, stalked her from the beginning, and always intended to kill her. But if that is all true, why did he live with her on the island for over two weeks and NOT kill her? Did he take her there planning on neither of them ever leaving? I saw this once on TV, so if I missed something, please enlighten me.

And did it bother anyone else that early in the move SHE looks like the psycho? She's screaming that she wants to leave regardless of his wishes (a classic partnership battle--one wants to stay, the other wants to leave, neither considering the other's position). She trashes the cabin when she doesn't get her way. Her communication skills are nil. She's paranoid (maybe with good cause, but we can't tell at the time). I think they wanted to show her as a spoiled princess, but it went way beyond that in my opinion. Or do they want us to beleive that her behavior is acceptable when the husband is so "controlling?"

The acting was OK, but I think it was badly written. I found myself hoping they would kill each other.

I'm not sure if he ever intended to kill her. I think he was just obsessed with her and wanted her all to himself...to get her away from her family and "rich" life.

I do agree with you..In the beginning she pissed me off. I was sick and tired of her spoiled, prissy behavior. I wanted to reach through the screen and smack her. It doesn't help that I don't like Tara Reid one bit either.

Again, I agree...I think she should have killed him and then drowned while swimming across the pond...

She married him and didn't really know what a sicko he was. You can actually think you know someone when you don't. I would act like a psycho too if some guy took me somewhere with the notion we will be returning home to family and normal life in two weeks but had no intentions of letting me leave and return to my family and home.

While watching this, I decided that I would have bought them meeting in a state-mandated anger management class =) They both had wicked tempers.

All I know is that Tara Reid might be the worst actress ever. And she proved that once again in this movie.

Well if i married some guy who deceived me by trying to hold me captive somewhere after he said only for two weeks I would go psycho too.

Yeah, but she goes crazy after 10 days, NOT TWO WEEKS

No, I'm laughing with you not at{against} you!

reply

But I think that after the ten days, she was realizing her had no intention of leaving.

I gotta agree with the OP. She appears more phsyco than he does. I was thinking I kinda like to kill her if I was on and island with her for 10 days.

I think there could be subtleness to psychopathy. Take when they get to the island: no cell reception which, on his part, seemed on purpose also, there are bars on the window; don't know if anyone else noticed. If he's obsessed with her, why doesn't he know she's deathly afraid of water? I think he did know thus, them being on a tiny island.

It's the little things.

I'm on the road less traveled...
