What's the point of this whole movie? (spoiler alert)

OK guys, help me out here. I thought it was a good movie, but somehow I think I'm missing something. So the next few lines would be spoilers for those who have not seen it.

Are the points of the movie as following?

1. You should trust your instincts but once in a while, let yourself go and live life recklessly? i.e. If Mrs Chambert had admitted that she knew Yvan, he would have been saved?

2. In times of adversity, you should still hang on to your dreamsn, like the young chap who sung in German?

3. Be grateful for your family, as some people have none?

4. Keep your fruends close, but your enemy closer? Mrs Chamber was in a way, Yvan's enemy?

What do you guys think?

I liked it too, but I have no idea what its point is because I don't look for "points" like that in movies. Do you always? I watch movies for entertainment, not for lessons in life. "I thought it was a good movie" would be enough for me. There are better sources than movies for advice on how to live.

You make very good points. But Yvan is not Mrs Chambert.s enemy. He is French, just like them!
