She acted pretty well. I liked the film the movie is very touching.

I disagree, her performance was mediocre and her grossly enhanced collagen lips were a distraction. The true acting talent lies with Gaspard Ulliel and Grégoire Leprince-Ringuet.

French actresses and French women are generally not as obsessed as Americans when it comes to plastic surgery. They are much more beautiful au naturel.

This being said, I have seen movies with Emanuelle Beart since she was much younger, and She always had big sexy lips and big eyes, too.
She always had gorgeous lips naturally, now they look overdone.

Look at her younger pictures, you will see for yourself.

I disagree, not because Emmanuelle's looks, I don't have a problem with her lips. However, I think she is less convincing to play a mom even she herself is a mom of a 15 yr-old. She looks more motherly in her missions as a Unicef ambassador in real life, but not in any of her movies. Her performance is not memorable, and I guess it's because of she is more typecasted as the seductive smoking hot 20 or 30 yr old lady, even she is a soon-to-be-44.

I don't intend to be offensive, but I have to defend my opinions.

I normally like her but she just did not stand out in this film. She was okay but nothing outstanding.
