So much worse than I remembered. Just rewatched it. The gore edits and cg are bad enough but the terrible acting of the female leads, Jason, and its horribly unfunny camp really bring it down for me. It was much funner when I first saw it. The direction is justterrible. No wonder everyone hates it, I've been thinkin its decent haha man I was wrong. The only good thing it has is demon Freddy & his lake scene. Shoulda kept his design that way.

Yeah it hasn't aged well or holds up. The best scripts I've seen actually included camp scenes, more dream sequences, brought Tommy & Alive back. So much wasted potential

It just keeps getting better and better. They just don't make films like this anymore.

I disagree. And frankly even if you don't like this it could have been worse. One idea for it was a court room drama with Jason on trial for murder and Freddy as the prosecuter. A lot of the scripts had very little of Freddy or Jason in them. I found this fun and am in the minority on liking the protagonists.
