1/10 (could've been 0). Here's why:

DUMB AND DUMBER was the rare comedy that was funny despite having lowbrow humour. Also, there was a goal: To arrive at Aspen. Sure, after the arrival, the movie keeps going and overstays its welcome, but DUMB AND DUMBERER: WHEN HARRY MET LLOYD is an unfunny comedy (despite using similar gags) that doesn't have a goal. It didn't need to be a road movie, but watching LLOYD & HARRY go from place to place and do one stupid thing after another without the feeling that it's all adding up to something gets boring after a while. Also, the 1st installment had the crime subplot. This prequel (which by the way became non-canon after the release of DUMB AND DUMBER TO) has one too but it's about a money scheme, which isn't as dangerous as a kidnapping. This is more clear during the very unexciting climax. Eric Christian Olsen and Derek Richardson's performances are quite decent, but Rachel Nichols' is so bad. I'm dissapointed that Bob Saget's role wasn't bigger, because his scenes are the only ones that made me laugh. There is one thing that this movie does better than its predecessor: LLOYD & HARRY do bad things but never on purpose. You know, like giving a blind kid a dead bird and telling him it's alive. I guess that's why it ended with them still looking for happiness or whatever: The audience was never meant to really root for them, which made the movie uncomfortable to watch at times. Not this time. Ironically, while MARY did her best not to hurt the guys' feelings, JESSICA basically used them despite knowing about their crushes.

Any thoughts?
