does it actually have any thing to do with The Slumber Party Massacre?

does it?

reply

not really... they say it's the same killer that's about it.

reply

what do u mean they say its the same killer? one time i heard that the guy knew the movie sucxked so badly....that he changed all of the character names because the characters were gonna be like people from all the preious ones

reply

Ok, the original writer of the film. Jason Paul Collum, had actually made a true, down to earth sequel, but Concorde Pictures, who own the right to The SPM series thought it was too cliche, and they changed it around to suit them. Therefore, creating a movie that had nothing to do with the other SPM films.

It does have the same actress from the original too, but that's probably not good enough. One thing they should have done at least was called it "Slumber Party Massacre IV: Cheerleader Nightmare" and stayed more true.

Didn't the returning actress (Brinke Stevens) get killed in the first one? Does she play the same character or a different character who also happens to be named Linda?

reply

She plays Linda, the same character from the 1st movie. We "assume" she survived the attack in the girls locker room as we never saw the body. It's just a cameo in this.

Yep. It's the same Linda. The cops in this one go to her place and the male cop says something like "It's been a long time Linda". Then Linda tells him what happened like twenty years ago. During this "interview" they play footage from the first Slumber Party Massacre (prolly the only watchable part of the whole movie). And then the cops just disappear. What the ****? The male cop knew Linda. Sure the police knew what happened to her. They had no reason to interview her at all. All this reflects the stupidity of this flick.

They say that Linda lost a lot of blood, but they managed to save her life. That makes Linda the fourth survivor of the first Slumber Party.

IMDb mentions the alternate title "Slumber Party Massacre IV" on the search results so I guess we have to accept this a part of the SPM-franchise. Without a doubt the worst in the series. This must be the worst movie I have seen in my whole life!

I just watched it, I don't think it was the same Linda. I think they just used the footage from "The Slumber Party Massacre". Note that the flashback ends when she hides under the table, then she says the janitor found here twenty minutes later. They don't include the part where the killer sees the blood on the floor and drills her through the door. I think the Linda from the first Slumber Party Massacre died, and this was a different Linda who just happened to be played by the same actress.

I read above that New Concord rejected a script for SPM. I think we may actually are using it now for a new SPM. the story focuses on Val and her daughter Elizabeth. Something happens to make Val leave town. Elizabeth promises to stay with her friend Natalie but the girls end up going to a Slumber Party were somebody who was obessessed with the original Driller Killer is waiting to finish his idol's job.

reply

How do you know that though?

reply

It was indeed the same Linda, because she says "when the janitor found ME, I was almost dead..."

reply

Yes. It deffinatly was the same Linda, without a doubt. Just watch that one scene again and listen to what she says.

I'm pretty sure it was a different. I think they just used that footage Slumber Party Massacre because it was the same actress and it was just a coincidence that she played characters named Linda in both movies. They left out the scene in the flashback where the killer drilled a second time through the door, killing her. She made no mention of that in her story. Also, the killer she was talking about had a different name than the killer from Slumber Party Massacre.

reply

It's supposed to be the same.

It was originally suppose to be Slumber Party Massacre IV, but it morphed into its own movie.

reply

The Netflix version must be edited. Did not see any SPM footage and no Linda.
