After watching this it made me feel more disapointed with the movies.
I mean there was so much to work with, but instead they made crap like reloaded.

I know what you mean. The animatrix especially second renaissance was just awesome. Then I think of Reloaded and Revolutions. What a waste of good material and a good story.
shareI think a lot of us would agree on this. I never understood why some of the best and most interesting storylines were utilized for the first movie and animatrix, while in Reloaded and Revolutions we are left with a trainwreck of mindless illogical action sequences, ham-fisted philosophy, and superman-like religious symbolisms. The matrix had a huge amount of potential. A lot of us were drawn to the apocalyptic scenario outlined in the Second Rennaisance, which went or had the potential to go much further then films like Terminator 2, IRobot or AI. We also liked the idea of interweaving reality with cyberspace, something explored in the Kid's Story and Beyond, and something we all do when we logon to the internet. On top of these fantastical scenarios, Reloaded and Revolutions could have explored and made use of the wealth of potential human storylines. The theme of betrayal for example was explored in both the first movie and Program.

As stunning as the last 2 films are to watch i reckon i would be alot happier with JUST the first film and the animatrix.

I think Reloaded was awesome and Revolutions was pretty damn good. But there was a lot of interesting stuff in the Animatrix that would have been awesome in the movies. I wish they would have put KIDS STORY in the movie. The whole Self-substantiation would have been interesting. They could have used that instead of opening up with the dream sequence. Or found some other way to implement that into the story. Maybe that would have mirrored the first movie too much. But there was lot of potential storyline's in the Animatrix that would be great for film.

thank God they didn't use this "poor robots in hands of humanity" cliche crap in the movies. reloaded wasn't amazing, just ok, and revolution was quite logical and was great. No need for these geek inhumane sci-fi stories in the movies.
