Jim's grandmother

Why would Jim call his grandmother Grandma ... instead of Bubbie? He's Jewish, she's Jewish, the whole family is Jewish. No Jews call their grandmother Grandma, it's always Bubbie or Bubby.

Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm.
I'm Jewish, my family is as well and I never called my grandmother Bubbie..
In fact, before your post I didn't even know that word.
It's Yiddish, but Yiddish is (mostly) spoken by Ashkenazic Jews whille Sephardic don't (usually) speak it...

I'm Jewish, I call my maternal grandmother "Oma", and I used to call my paternal grandmother "Grandma"? before she passed away. :'(

Most of the audience wouldnt understand that term and would be confused. They would have to add dialogue specifically to explain that.

Considering that her entire role is setup for a joke, its not real critical to put a lot of effort into her character's realism.
