What is the real-life name of the actor presently playing the director of the pharmaceutical company in the series?
I'm trying to recall the names of other, older series I have seen him appear in.

Hi, I asked myself the same question, did some research and... here it is:
The actor's name is Bill Paterson, he plays the character John Tilson and you
may have seen him in a large variety of movies and tv-series.
Probably the last series you saw him in was 'Foyle's War', and, many years ago,
he was in 'The Singing Detective'. Me myself I remembered seeing him as a cello teacher in 'Hillary and Jackie'.
