This show really sucks. It's like the worst show I've ever seen. I feels like it's target audience is a bunch of pre-adolecent female idiots.

I am calling it lame.

You are a Potter and Narnia fan and just thrust the actors into this without thinking if they even remotely fit.

Do you seriously see Radcliff playing a tough soldier who kills people every 15 minutes?
Do you see Emma Watson as a girl who plays baseball and hits Sagara over the head at any given oportunity? (Btw, this is actually the best of the casting choices you offered because I could at least remotely see it)
And do not even get me started on Brenda Song as a chain smoking, slightly slutty military officer who likes to curse and has a bad temper.
And Tilda Swinton, the 40 year old androgynous ice queen, as a 16 year old cutie who falls in love with Sagara. Even leaving age aside, which other performance of Swinton did in any way remind you of Tessa Testarosa? Let me guess, it was the hair color.

When trying to find actors for a role, you should pick who fits, not who was in the last movie you liked.

Do you even watch these shows? Between this and the cast you made up for Haruhi and countless other animes, it's glaringly obvious you're a delusional harry potter fanboy.

You're cast sucks. There's no other way to put it. You should stop posting these because you're just embarassing yourself. This is just as bad as your cast for Haruhi. Lame doesn't even begin to describe how bad you're cast is.

Tilda Swinton as Testarossa? Does Tilda Swinton look like a 16 year old to you?

And the one that takes the cake: Rupert Grint as Mizuki...

I'm thinking that if Rupert Grint played a girl, it would be the early 17th century all over again (remember when women couldn't appear on stage in England? That's why Shakespeare used boys to play female parts, which is why I compared my casting of Rupert Grint as Mizuki to the casting of a boy as a girl for a Shakespearean play in the late 16th and early 17th centuries).

Coincidence? All I'm saying is, we need boys to appear on camera as girls here! It's kinda boring to have them playing only male roles, which is why we have Eddie Izzard cross-dressing regularly during his acts (FYI, I cast Izzard as Ranka in OHSHC for that very reason). Oh, and I pictured Rupert in drag in my mind and thought he looked cute.

Here's Nerfherder18's assessment.

Okay here's my assessment. Take note I only have seen the first season but I'm planning to get Fumoffu and The Second Raid. I also read a few synopsis of the original light novel (which I consider the superior version of FMP btw). I'm going to use Japanese actors because race is a factor in the story. I really don't know about Shakespearean female impersonators so I won't be using them. Sorry about that. Anyway, here we go:

Sousuke Sagara - There's only one actor who can portray Sousuke (my opinion anyway) and that's Kenichi Matsuyama. He always play characters that are strange and I'm sure his portrayal of the awkward and militaristic Sousuke would be fantastic.

Kaname Chidori - As much I like Emma Watson, I think Rin Asuka would fit. She is known for portraying Tsundere characters and is quirky enough.

Kurtz Weber - William Mosely would cut it I guess. He's a good actor and I think he can do the ever-goofy Kurtz. Just let his hair grow long and buff up his body a bit and he's fine.

Melissa Mao - I wouldn't pick Brenda Song. Melissa is a tall woman with a built body and is one tough upstanding soldier. I think Kelly Wu is fine. She looks young enough to portray Mao.

Tessa Testarossa - Now why would you cast Tilda Swinton as Tessa? Makes me think...have you even seen the anime? If you're gonna cast Emma Watson then cast her as Tessa instead of Chidori.

Kalinin - Cast J.K. Simmons. He's perfect as Kalinin.

Mardukas - I'd pick William Dafoe.

Shinji Kazama - I'd cast Goki Maeda. He's known for playing characters that are a bit geeky and meek.

Kyoko Tokikawa - I'd cast Airi Matsumaya. I've seen her act in a few J-dramas and she's good.

Gauron - I think Cary-Hiroyuki Tagawa can play Gauron. He's good as playing the bad guys and he'll be awesome as the psychotic Gauron.

Director - Ridley Scott. He's good at directing action scenes that are a bit militaristic. Pure grit, no fancy stuff.

Distributors - Well I really don't know about this. But it's going to be cool if ADV films is involved.

Also I want Hans Zimmerman to do the music and I want the opening theme of the Second Raid to play during the credits.
