Kaname/Sousuke & Melissa/Kurtz (AKA: Romance? Who needs that *beep*?)

Every time I watch this damn anime, I can't help but being disappointed and frustrated by the lack of romance. Apart from the obvious Kaname x Sousuke pairing, I also expected Melissa and Kurtz to have more moments. Both "couples" are very undercooked throughout the whole series... Especially considering that a) there is quite a bit of teasing from the creators, and b) The Second Raid is more mature then the first season, there was nudity and violence, so it was legit to hope in some changes on that front. If only TSR was slightly more on the R-rated side, maybe...
Why oh why did they never hook up?
