That word they're always saying . . .

I feel dumb for asking this, but the Italians in the movie are always saying a word that sounds almost like, "Normally". What on earth does that word mean?

reply

"Normale" which means normal. It's used in the movie to explain that the eccentricities of real estate in Italy is "normal."

So obvious. I do feel dumb now! Thanks so much for the response. :)

Are you sure they weren't saying "domani?" I'm pretty sure that's what it was. I lived in Italy for 2 years, and everything happened "domani"...or dopodomani (tomorrow or day after tomorrow).

"Normale" - usual or, as we'd say here idiomatically, "par for the course."

I always thought they were saying "no male" which means "Not bad"
