Orange dress at the end?

Wondered if anyone knew the designer or where to find the lovely dress Diane wore at the (wedding) end of the movie, my mum absolutely adores it, it would be nice to know. If someone has any information i would appreciate it.

I fell in love with that dress too. I like how it looks Orange, but then she moved and you can see pink. I want one.

I love any material that does that! I recall seeing two blouses in that shifting color, one ambery/light brown; the other, to shades of green. I couldn't afford them and never forgot them. I'd still like one blouse/top like that and my figure isn't suited by dresses unfortunately.

It IS a gorgeous dress, and it looks beautiful on her. They say redheads shouldn't wear those colors. How ridiculous! I've been told all of my life what colors I should shouldn't wear because of my auburn hair. My parents let me wear what I wanted to=} Bless them!

*** The trouble with reality is there is no background music. ***

Nicoletta Ercole was the costume designer.

Thai Silk Dupioni is probably the fabric used for the dress. Slightly iridescent, the color shifts from orange to pink as the fabric moves and the light changes. Dupioni silks are woven from two different colors of silk, giving them the iridescent shimmer. Dupioni silks are an excellent choice for dress-making since they are wrinkle resistant and provide a crisp drape. They do have a slight roughness or nubbiness to the weave, which gives them a little character.

A close-up shot from the movie shows that Diane Lane's dress has the tiniest little fold-down shawl collar without a notch and set-in sleeves with a fold-up cuff. The dress appears to be a shirt-dress because of the silk covered buttons on the bodice, but they don't continue down the front of the full circle skirt, so there must be a well hidden zipper in the side seam.

I saw a couple similar dresses when I googled "Nicoletta Ercole orange dress", but they just weren't quite right. One had a regular shirt-dress collar, but it was the delicate fold-down shawl collar and silk covered buttons that made the dress complete.
