Did Butterfly brand make this movie?

I thought it was funny that this movie was littered all over with the butterfly brand. At first I thought they just paid them a LOT of money, but towards the end I began thinking they had ordered the entire film. I mean, i have seen some obvious product-placements before, but this was really ridicilous.

This doesn't really make the movie any worse though, I thought it was alright, but towards the end I just started laughing as soon as I saw that brand.

Does anyone know the story behind this? Did they pay for the entire film?

well maybe its in parallel to Butterfly Joe? I mean who knows...but you do have a point there..

i'm pretty sure it's not a real brand. it was just a symbol. like Peco's star, and Smile's moon.

It is real.

Welcome to Japan.

Brands as symbols is fair game here.

butterfly makes some of the best tabletennis paddles in the world. it's a real brand.

Yes. Butterfly makes anything from balls, to rubbers and blades, to clothing. I use almost all butterfly products.

www.butterflyonline.com Take a look. I'm pretty sure they didn't make the movie though.

Butterfly is a brand of Table Tennis equipment, but a waning brand compared to 20 years ago. I thought when he called the guy "Butterfly Joe" it was meant as an insult. But then I looked around, and I see what you mean. Did the balls have Butterflys on them? That cannot be authentic. Real life would have Nittaku balls, Stiga table, and most paddles Yasaka rubber, but I don't think any of those brands were in the movie at all, from what I can remember
